Hello friends, and welcome back to The Good Ahead Podcast. We know we've been absent for a little bit, but we've been working on some really cool things for the show.

That's right. We're launching season two next week. We're renewed, refreshed and recast with two new co-hosts. I'm Dr. Tara Starwalt Community Engagement Specialist at New Vista. I have a doctorate in social work. I'm a certified social worker and I have 15 years of experience working with underserved, underrepresented populations to increase advocacy, intervention and overall wellness.

And I am Nicolas Scott, New Vista’s, Digital Media Specialist. I have a decade of experience in education and in media. I've been a longtime advocate for the inclusion of everyone at the table. We're going to continue with the good work New Vista has done so far with the podcast. We'll keep hosting conversations around mental health, substance use and intellectual and developmental disabilities.
We'll hear from licensed professionals, practitioners, experts and helpers as we learn about and discuss topics that most influence our communities.
